A look at the finances of the two front runners for Senate District 6

As Reform Austin previously reported, State Senator Sylvia Garcia recently resigned prior to taking her new position representing Texas Congressional District 29. A special election has been set for December 11th to fill the vacant senate seat, representing eastern Harris County. Four candidates have filed to run for the seat, and the front runners are two experienced legislators, Rep. Ana Hernandez (D – Houston) and Rep. Carol Alvarado (D – Houston).
