In spite of Dissing his Family for Trump, George P. Bush Loses Endorsement to Paxton

Amidst an ongoing fraud, bribery, and abuse-of-office investigation against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, former President Trump has finally picked Paxton as his favorite candidate for Texas Attorney General’s race.

The endorsement confirmed the AG’s long obsession of being the true “Trump candidate” over George P. Bush, who also did everything he could to get Trump’s attention, including disowning his own family, a constant target of Trump’s hate.

According to CNN, George P. Bush wanted Donald Trump’s endorsement badly and tried to make it happen in the most obsequious — and embarrassing — ways possible.

This included posting a picture every time they spoke and handing out beverage sleeves with a drawing of him and the former President showing a Trump quote that read: “This is the only Bush that likes me. This is the Bush that got it right. I like him.”

But in spite of him trying so hard, the endorsement finally came on Monday night for Ken Paxton, who took on the legal battle to claim the non-existent widespread fraud on Trump’s behalf and even spoke on his rally before the mob stormed the Capitol on January.

“It is going to take a PATRIOT like Ken Paxton to advance America First policies in order to Make America Great Again,” Trump said in a statement Monday evening. “Ken has my Complete and Total Endorsement for another term as Attorney General of Texas. He is a true Texan who will keep Texas safe—and will never let you down!” the statement read.

Paxton, who was accused of bribery by seven of his top aides just months ago – and currently under indictment for securities fraud- also took to social media, to let the world know he’s Trump’s choice.

“Honored to receive the endorsement of President Donald J. Trump,” Paxton said.

Still, the race for the GOP nomination does not seem to be an easy road, as Paxton needs to face ex-state Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman and former Land Commissioner George P. Bush, who won’t go down without a fight.

“I’m running for Attorney General because Texans deserve integrity and honesty from the office of Texas’ top law enforcement official. Texans deserve a candidate without a laundry list of existing and potential criminal indictments,” Bush Tweeted.
