Less Than One Month Left to Register to Vote in November

Texans have less than 30 days left to register to vote in the Nov. 3 election. Completed voter registration forms must be returned to your local election office by Oct. 5.

You are eligible to register to vote if:

  • you are a United States citizen;
  • you are a resident of the county where you submit the application;

you are at least 17 years and 10 months old, and you will be 18 years of age on Election Day.

  • you are not a convicted felon (you may be eligible to vote if you have completed your sentence, probation, and parole); or
  • you have not been declared by a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be either totally mentally incapacitated or partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.

Early voting begins on Oct. 13 and ends on Oct. 30. Gov. Greg Abbott added about one more week to early voting due to the pandemic.
