Celestina Harris: The Rising Star From San Antonio Making Waves In Hollywood

At just 11 years old, San Antonio native Celestina Harris is making significant strides in Hollywood, sharing the screen with industry heavyweights. In Paramount+’s “Special Ops: Lioness,” she portrays the daughter of a CIA operative played by Zoe Saldaña, with the series also featuring Nicole Kidman. Additionally, Harris appears as the daughter of an investigative reporter, portrayed by Mandy Moore, in the second season of Peacock’s anthology series “Dr. Death.”

A student at Cornerstone Christian School, Harris balances her academic responsibilities with her burgeoning acting career. Reflecting on her experiences, she noted the invaluable lessons learned from observing her co-stars: “Seeing them get in character and how they would act it out, it just gives me another point of view,” as she mentioned in an interview with San Antonio Express-News

Harris’s journey into acting was inspired by her older sister’s involvement in theater. She began with local commercials and short films before securing representation and advancing to television and film roles. Her diverse portfolio includes an appearance in “Chicago P.D.” and the film “Yuletide the Knot.”

Beyond acting, Harris is passionate about giving back to the community. She has participated in initiatives like adopting families during the Christmas season, providing gifts to those in need. “Instead of opening our own gifts and playing with them, we focus on making it a great holiday for others,” she told jejunemagazine.com

Looking ahead, Harris aspires to take on lead roles and explore opportunities behind the camera, including writing and directing. She also expresses a keen interest in action films, particularly those involving stunts and special effects.

Despite her early success, Harris remains grounded, enjoying activities such as volleyball, soccer, and frequent visits to San Antonio’s DoSeum. Her dedication to her craft and community involvement make her a young talent to watch in the entertainment industry. For more insights into Harris’s journey, you can watch her interview on Great Day SA.
