Chick-fil-A Makes A Dream Come True For Houston Couple

A Texas couple’s dream of visiting every state capitol came true with the help of Chick-fil-A employees in Houston.

For 20 years, Bill and Becky Chilcutt set out to visit every state capitol in the U.S. When only Alaska remained, their plans were interrupted by Bill’s cancer diagnosis. They shared their story with employees at their local Chick-fil-A in Springwoods Village, Houston.

Fox News reported that the restaurant team, moved by their journey, decided to work with staff at the Alaska State Capitol to create a unique gift: a photo of the Chilcutts’ wedding in front of the Capitol, their names in the visitor log, and a custom drawing of the couple by Alaska’s Mendenhall Glacier.

The Chick-fil-A staff presented the gift to Bill and Becky in the restaurant, along with a scrapbook and thoughtful souvenirs from Alaska. Chick-fil-A owner Mike Magdaleno noted that Bill and Becky, were deeply meaningful for the team.

“Over the years, Bill & Becky have become an integral part of our Chick-fil-A community,” he told Fox News. “From weekly morning bingo to celebrating family milestones at the restaurant, we’ve loved being a part of their lives and learning more about their adventures.”

“When our team learned they had just one final state capital on their bucket list, we wanted to do everything we could to help them achieve their goal,” he added. “We’re so glad we could bring a small piece of Alaska to Texas for them.”
