Texas ranks the highest in its number of haunted locations per 100,000 people. There are 925 haunted locations in all the state. The study cites the Alamo as one of the most significant haunted places in Texas, where visitors and personnel have reported sightings of soldier apparitions and distant cries echoing in the walls.
