Texas Democrats to Join Speaker Pelosi for Voter Suppression Press Conference

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, Democratic members of the Texas Legislature, and members of the Texas Democratic Congressional Delegation will hold a press conference today, June 15th, to discuss defending the right to vote for all Texans in the face of Republican-led efforts to pass destructive voting suppression legislation.

Democratic members of the Texas Legislature are in Washington, D.C. this week to discuss their successful attempt to temporarily block S.B.7 (also known as the voter restriction bill) with Congressional leaders, Senate leaders, and will be meeting Vice President Kamala Harris tomorrow to further address this issue, as well as to advocate for passage of the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

The event will be livestreamed at 4:30 E.T. via the following link:  www.facebook.com/MALCTx
