Pro-Voucher and Anti-LGBTQ+ Activist Tied To Abbott Exposed For Participating In Gay Porn

A pro-voucher and anti-LGBTQ+ activist with ties to Gov. Greg Abbott has been exposed for previously appearing in gay adult films, including one in which he participates in a masturbation contest with other men.

Corey DeAngelis has described himself as a “school choice evangelist” and is a senior fellow at the American Federation for Children (AFC), a pro-voucher organization that has spent millions of dollars in Texas elections.  He also appeared regularly on Fox News, where he attacked the LGBTQ+ community. However, it was recently revealed that DeAngelis had participated in adult films in 2014 under the pseudonym “Seth Rose,” according to the Advocate.

After the discovery was made public by StraighUpGayPorn.com, numerous activists blessed DeAngelis and the AFC placed him on leave. He has not tweeted since Sept. 19.

Numerous people also shared DeAngelis connection with Texas politicians, specifically Abbott. State Rep. Glenn Rogers, a Republican who lost his primary, posted a picture of DeAngelis and Abbott smiling and shaking hands.

According to the San Antonio Current, DeAngelis joined Abbott at various rallies in the Texas House primary campaigns to target Republican incumbents who voted against Abbott’s voucher-like program. With DeAngelis’ help, Mark LaHood, one of the Abbott-backed candidates, defeated incumbent Steve Allisson by 14 points.

DeAngeli’s AFC also had a huge role in the last primaries. According to Open Secrets, the organization spent $2 million attacking and targeting six Republican incumbents who voted against vouchers in Texas. All six lost their seats in the election.

Recently, the AFC has begun to send mailers supporting Republican candidates who supported vouchers without mentioning their party or vouchers at all.

Despite the AFC putting DeAngelis on leave, he is still scheduled to speak at a right-wing conference in Washington, D.C., on Sunday, Sept. 29, along with anti-LGBTQ+ and far-right activists such as Charlie Kirk, Jordan Peterson, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
