Shocking Discovery: Missing Woman Found Tn Alligator’s Jaws In Texas

The body of a missing woman was found inside the jaws of an alligator in Clear Lake.

According to ABC, Houston police officers were in the area looking for a woman reported missing. Authorities then found human remains along the banks of Horsepen Bayou and reportedly, the alligator had human remains in its jaws.

A Houston police sergeant shot and killed the alligator to stop it from doing more damage to the woman’s body.

A diver recovered the woman’s remains after the alligator was killed.

Officials believe the remains are from a woman in her 60’s. However, police have not determined whether the alligator killed the woman or if she died from other circumstances. HPD homicide investigators were assigned the case.

“They live down there. We see 8 feet, 10 feet babies. I know which banks to stay away from and where they like to lay in the sun,” Angela Derous, a fisherman, told ABC13. “That’s the first time I’ve heard of that happening down here. It’s a little scary.”

While things like this have happened in Florida, alligator attacks are rare in Texas. The last time an alligator fatally attacked a human in Texas was in 2015, when a 28-year-old man was attacked while swimming in Adams Bayou.
