Elon Musk Slams Work-from-Home As ‘Morally Wrong’

The billionaire was interviewed by CNBC and shared his thoughts on working from home.

“I’m a big believer that people are more productive when they’re in person,” Musk said in the interview. He also called tech workers as the “laptop classes living in la-la-land,” and said it was hypocritical to work from home while there are people that can’t do that like service workers.

“It’s like, really? You’re gonna work from home, and you’re gonna make everyone else, who made your car, come work in the factory (…) the people that come fix your house, they can’t work from home, but you can? Does that seem morally right? That’s messed up,” said the billionaire, who is a perfect example of how “morally correct” people should live, damaging the environment with mining companies, burning fuel to travel around in a private jet and putting exploding rockets in communities and habitats of endangered birds.

“People should get off the goddamn moral high horse with the work-from-home bullshit,” Musk continued.

He also said that he doesn’t expect that his workers have the same working hours as him, claiming that he works seven days a week, sleeps 6 hours and that there are only two or three days in a year in which he does not do a meaningful amount of work.

Are these things he said true? Is it possible to work that much without ending up with brain damage? There are no answers to these questions, but Musk is certainly proud of his working hours and moral postures.
