FIFA announced Tuesday that $60 tickets will now be available for every match at the upcoming North America World Cup, KXAN reported.
The discounted seats will go to “most loyal” fans, as chosen by national federations. Previously, the cheapest tickets cost $120–$265 for group-stage games not featuring co-hosts the U.S., Canada, or Mexico.
The move comes after worldwide criticism over FIFA’s ticket pricing, which includes dynamic pricing and resale through its own platform.
