David Spiller Wins HD-68 Special Election Runoff

David Spiller won the special election runoff against fellow Republican Craig Carter Tuesday night.

Spiller won with almost 63% of the vote (4,158), beating Carter by 26 points (2,452).

House District 68 is a sprawling district in rural north Texas that stretches from the panhandle to north of Dallas.

The seat became available after State Rep. Drew Springer won a heated election against Dallas salon owner Shelley Luther.
