Bellaire residents will soon get a taste of the beloved grocer Trader Joe’s, the city announced Tuesday. The new store will open inside the redeveloped Bellaire Boulevard Shopping Center at 5130 Bellaire Blvd., in the former Randalls space that closed in 2021, according to the City of Bellaire.
“The highly anticipated addition to our community will bring a unique grocery shopping experience and further enhance the vibrant retail landscape of Bellaire,” the city said.
Trader Joe’s has been expanding in the Houston area, with recent openings in Kingwood and an upcoming store in Cypress. The California-based chain has been in Texas since 2012, including locations near Uptown and on Shepherd Drive. A Trader Joe’s representative confirmed the Bellaire store, though no opening date has been set yet.
