Former NFL linebacker Myles Jack was arrested early Tuesday in Frisco, Texas, following an incident that prompted a police response to a private residence, according to ESPN. Officers conducting a welfare check around 5:40 a.m. local time on Dec. 16 reported hearing gunshots from inside the home, leading authorities to secure the area and evacuate nearby residences before Jack was taken into custody at 7:12 a.m. and treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Denton County Sheriff’s Office charged the 30-year-old with deadly conduct involving the discharge of a firearm, a third-degree felony, along with a misdemeanor firearm-related charge, ESPN reported.
Jack played six seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars after being selected 36th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft and later appeared in 18 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2022 to 2023.
