Governor Greg Abbott launched his re-election campaign a month ago and has already begun announcing endorsements for key state and federal races.

According to Abbott’s Campaign X account, under his leadership, Texas’ economy has grown to $2.7 trillion, making it the world’s eighth-largest, the state built its own border wall, launched the nation’s largest school-choice program, and unveiled a comprehensive plan to reduce property taxes.

This week, Abbott endorsed the following candidates:

  • Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick for re-election, describing him as “a proven conservative who defends Texas values, secures the border, protects our freedoms, and keeps Texas strong, safe, and free.”
  • Jim Wright for Texas Railroad Commissioner, calling him “a conservative fighter who will ensure Texas remains an energy powerhouse for generations to come.”
  • Dawn Buckingham for Texas Land Commissioner, praised as “a proven conservative fighter protecting Texas land, supporting Texas energy, backing law enforcement, and border security.”
    Audrey Young for the Texas State Board of Education, District 8, noted as “a proud conservative and lifelong educator” committed to “academic excellence and conservative values.”
  • Mindy Bumgarner for the Texas State Board of Education, District 14, described as “an advocate for parents’ rights and a champion of school choice.”
  • David Cook for Texas Senate District 22, called “a dedicated public servant committed to protecting Texas values and ensuring that Texas remains prosperous.”
  • Dennis Paul for Texas Senate District 11, recognized for championing “pro-liberty, conservative policies that keep Texas the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
  • Congressman Craig Goldman for re-election to the U.S. House, described as “a conservative champion who supports common sense legislation to rein in wasteful spending.”
    Congressman Pete Sessions for re-election to the U.S. House, noted for standing “for strong border security, fiscal responsibility, and upholding Texas values.”

Abbott’s endorsements mark the first round of support for candidates in key races across Texas ahead of the 2026 elections.
