Taylor Swift is back in Houston, where she will present a three night show at NRG Stadium. This is expected to be a massive meet-and-greet event for the city’s fans.
According to a report by the Houston Chronicle, the Houston Swifties have taken inspiration from Swift’s song lyrics to make their own bracelets featuring her song and album titles and related phrases. They will trade them with fellow Swifties during the show.
To prepare for the event, Pinspiration, a DIY craft studio and wine bar in the Heights, hosted a bracelet-making party. The owner, Kimi Wimberly, who has been a fan of Swift since she was 12, created the event as a longtime Swiftie to have something fun and relaxing for those who dealt with a lot of stress over tickets. Swift’s Eras Tour tickets crashed the Ticketmaster site due to high demand, leaving many fans in tears. Swifties worked together to secure tickets for themselves and others, despite the chaos.
Nitza Vite, who runs the Houston Swifties Facebook group, is attending two local shows and one in Seattle, thanks in part to fellow fans. She plans to re-create multiple looks for the shows and have handmade bracelets to trade. Another Swiftie, Adrienne Hinojosa, has made 30 bracelets to take with her to the show, one of which is a reference to a 2019, post-Lasik surgery video of Swift crying over a banana.
Taylor Swift will present her show this weekend in Houston and this would be her last Texas stop in the Eras Tour.
