Jason Beeferman is a spring reporting fellow at The Texas Tribune and a junior at Northwestern University where he studies Journalism, International Studies and Latin American Studies.
Emily Hernandez is a spring reporting fellow finishing her final year at the University of Texas at Austin, where she is studying journalism, Spanish and sociology.
Sewell Chan joined The Texas Tribune as editor in chief in October 2021. Previously he was a deputy managing editor and then the editorial page editor at the Los Angeles Times, where he oversaw coverage that was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing in 2021.
