Brooks Tobin is a practicing litigator in Houston, TX and a former federal law clerk for a U.S. District Court Judge. He attended the University of Texas School of Law and earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University.

Annika Olson is the assistant director of policy research at the Institute for Urban Policy Research and Analysis, housed in the Black Studies Department at the University of Texas at Austin. She uses research and legislative analysis to inform policies that impact the lives of vulnerable members of the community. She received a dual master’s degree in psychology and public policy at Georgetown University and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has previously served as an AmeriCorps member with at-risk youth in Austin and rural New Mexico.

Dinez “Dee” Swanson, DNP, RN serves as the State Director of Nursing for Western Governors University Texas. Swanson joined WGU in 2017 as lab supervisor and clinical operations supervisor. She has been in nursing for 22 years, and her clinical background is in women’s services and pediatrics. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s in nursing from Texas Woman’s University and Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Walden University.
