Worst Person In The World

About 20 years ago, there was a program entitled ”Countdown” with Keith Olbermann which featured an ending segment, “Worst Person In the World”.

They need to bring it back, if only to feature Elon Musk, because he IS the worst person in the world these days.

Musk is rapidly transforming his enormous wealth — he’s the richest person in the world — into a huge source of unaccountable political power that’s now backing Trump and other authoritarians around the world.

He appeared to be a mere rude, obnoxious rich man in the beginning, but he’s definitely gained steam since he purchased Twitter (I will NEVER call it “X”).

Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior and Musk has proven that old adage true.

Although he was born in South Africa of wealthy parents, he didn’t waste any time getting to the U.S. by applying for a Canadian passport via his Canadian-born mother. He began making money by piggy-backing off of others’ inventions and creations and by government subsidies of those inventions and creations.

Paypal was created by Max Levchin, not Musk.

Tesla was founded by Martin Eberhard and Mark Tarpenning, not Musk.

SpaceX has been successful because of engineer Tom Mueller, not Musk.

Elon Musk has never created, founded, designed, or been an innovator of anything by himself.

His first wife, Justine Wilson, spilled the tea about their unhealthy marriage in an article in Marie Claire. Musk dismissed her career as a writer, described himself as the alpha in their relationship and told her that if she were one of his employees, he would “fire her”. Lots of broken relationships followed, along with lots of children fathered by employees and girlfriends, 12 at last count.

He has refused parental custody or visits to his children’s mothers; Grimes being the latest victim. One of his children, Vivian, who is transgender, reported on her early relationship with him, saying that he was cruel and absent. It was the total opposite of what Musk reported in an earlier interview.

His personal life doesn’t make him the worst person in the world, but what he’s done since he acquired Twitter sealed the deal.

He says he bought Twitter to “reduce disinformation,” “eliminate bots,” and “protect free speech.” Almost three years later, he is the greatest online propagator of disinformation and anti-Semitism, wielding the largest army of bots and foreign infiltrators to further his views and cause controversy. In November, Musk publicly endorsed an antisemitic conspiracy theory popular among White supremacists and other hate groups, that Jewish communities push “hatred against Whites,” by bringing undocumented minorities into Western countries to reduce the White majority. He’s part troll and strangely, part philosopher, all the while, openly admitting that he uses ketamine while posting. Musk has engaged in more censorship than any CEO while amplifying hate speech and prioritizing his own personal comments and views by a clever algorithm. He wants free speech and free reach. Twitter now feels as if you’ve logged into 4chan.

His managerial decisions are mercurial, cruel, and despotic–close a building, move it to another state–as if every morning is a new day with thousands of employees laid off with no severance, just pink slips.

Things have worsened in the last six months. He’s sued America’s advertisers for refusing to do business with him. He posted a fake AI version of Kamala Harris’ campaign video, saying she’s the “ultimate diversity hire”.

In the UK, far right thugs are burning, looting and terrorizing minority communities because Twitter has been spreading lies about an immigrant being responsible for a deadly attack on school girls. Users on X were falsely told that Vice President Harris could not ascend to the top of the Democratic ticket.

Elon Musk is now a national security threat.

He’s broken the Logan Act by negotiating with Bolsinaro, Maduro, China, and Netanyahu. Musk is NOT an elected official. No one chose him to run anything, but people are giving him plenty of leeway to do so.

The EU warns of “legal obligations” if Musk does not take action to prevent the spread of “disinformation.”

The website of Musk’s America PAC is tricking people into sharing personal data. Although the site promises to help them register to vote, it asks users in battleground states to give their names and phone numbers without directing them to a voter registration site. That personal information is being used to send them anti-Harris and pro-Trump ads.

Something must be done.

On one hand, he’s hijacked Twitter, has an arsenal of rockets, a fleet of self-driving cars, a web of satellites, an army of robots, a legion of tunneling machines, brain implants, and now he’s committing election interference. On the other hand, his rockets blow up more than they take off, his cars are categorically not self-driving and are killing people, his satellites are short-lived, the tunneling machines do not exist, the brain implants kill the user and his army of robots are people who ignore everything to claim that he’s actually a genius.

He’s like an island of pure evil intent floating around in this country, undermining it at every opportunity he finds, just to gratify his own weirdness and amusement. It’s Bond villain level. And it’s difficult to keep up with it all.

I would propose that he be DEPORTED. After all, Emma Goldman and Alexander Berkman were deported to Russia in 1919 for much less.

The sleepy, dusty town of Lubbock, Texas, in the late fifties, was the perfect incubator for a shy, imaginative child who was a voracious reader with a dream of becoming a writer. Carol Morgan spent almost 30 years as a teacher and counselor, but even in her stint as an educator she continued to write. She was the executive producer of Career Connection, an education program on LISD-TV. In 2001, Carol began a second career as a career counselor, writer and speaker. Her goal was to encourage others to use their gifts and talents to make changes in their lives and the world. That business endured for 20 years until closing because of the COVID-19 pandemic. She was the host of a local radio talk show, Career 411, offering on-air advice and featuring unique careers. As a freelance writer, she’s contributed articles to various publications about Texas politics and life. Carol was the Democratic candidate for the Texas House of Representatives in 2010, and has never recovered from her addiction to Texas politics. She is the author of two books, garnering honors and awards for her writings.
