Annika Olson is the assistant director of policy research at the Institute for Urban Policy Research and Analysis, housed in the Black Studies Department at the University of Texas at Austin. She uses research and legislative analysis to inform policies that impact the lives of vulnerable members of the community. She received a dual master’s degree in psychology and public policy at Georgetown University and a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She has previously served as an AmeriCorps member with at-risk youth in Austin and rural New Mexico.
