AccuWeather experts are already forecasting a cold snap for some Texas areas this year. The private forecaster services predict a harsh winter, similar to last year on their latest report.
The good news is that at least we can expect these low temperatures to arrive by the beginning of next year, giving people to experience some kind of nice weather around the holidays.
According to AccuWeather, “the cold snap has the potential to be highly disruptive but not something on the historic level that was blamed for more than 200 fatalities last February.”
It’s worth mentioning though, some parts of southern Texas might see their first frosts at the beginning of December.
Senior Meteorologist Paul Pastelok says that some of the most extreme cold temperatures might hit farther east, meaning that eastern Texas should prepare for some jarring winter storms next year.
Let us hope people are more prepared this year, although this is hardly unlikely given that most of the state leaders have refused to fix the Texas electric grid, meaning there’s not so much the average citizen can do about it.
Last year, around 20 million people were left out of power during one of the worst winter storms in Texas history.
