Tucker Carlson is back and ready to tweet. After being fired from Fox News, the political commentator just announced his comeback in a three-minute video on Twitter posted on Tuesday. “We’re back,” he writes alongside the video; though it isn’t clear who “we” refers to.
In the video, Tucker Carlson talks about how every news site or channel misleads people and that people that seek freedom of speech, like he claims himself, are fired. Also, he announced he chose Twitter as his comeback platform because, according to him, it is the last big platform that allows freedom of speech.
A Twitter user questioned Carlson’s statements, saying that he is also misleading people and that he only tells the facts that he wants to use for his narratives.
In response to this comment, Elon Musk also talked about Tucker’s return and his platform. He said that on Twitter: “People are able to interact, critique and refute whatever he or anyone may say.” Also, he made it clear that he didn’t make a deal with Carlson and that he will be subject to the same rules and rewards as all content creators.
With his new announcement, a lot of Carlson’s fans were commenting on the tweet, but he also received critics and people that were already tired of him. Will his show be a success on Twitter?
