Pedro Pascal Sparks Controversy With His Tex-Mex Food Opinions

One of the most wanted men in this era, Pedro Pascal, discussed his childhood, career and a very hot topic in the latest episode of the YouTube series “Hot Ones”: which Tex-Mex cuisine is better, Austin’s or San Antonio’s?

Known for his roles in “The Last of Us” and “Game of Thrones,” Pascal spent some of his formative years in San Antonio, where he developed a love for breakfast tacos and Tex-Mex cuisine.

Last year, Pascal joined the taco wars when an Austin 360 reporter asked him which city had better tacos. After a long pause and meditation, Pascal answered:

“It’s San Antonio, people. It’s San Antonio. If we’re talking about tacos? Chile con queso, maybe you can get that in Austin. But you get a taco in San Antonio, por favor! As far as I remember, yeah. Sorry, I love Austin.”

Despite his first take, when he was questioned again in this episode of “Hot Ones,” the actor gave a really different and super controversial response:

“I was in Southern California and … then I came to New York. And for 20 years, people are like ‘No, this place has good Mexican,'” he said. “And I’m just like ‘No, it’s not. It’s not. There’s no good Mexican food in … New York.’ Come for me.”

By this time, the actor was sweating because of the hot sauce in the spicy wings. Is Pedro Pascal an expert in the topic? Maybe. But does it really matter? He just looks hot eating spicy wings.
