On Sunday, Kacey Musgraves, the 34-year-old country singer, took a moment during her performance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival to call out Senator Ted Cruz.
Her fans went wild for her slight tweak in the song “High Horse.”
“Cause everyone knows someone who kills the buzz, every time they open their mouth—Ted Cruz,” Musgraves, a Golden, Texas native, told the audience.
Musgraves fans loved the dig on Cruz and took to social media to praise the country star. “You can tell @KaceyMusgraves is a real Texan by the volume of her hair and how much she hates Ted Cruz,” one fan wrote on Twitter, as reported by Chron.
Not shy of expressing her political views, the superstar also took a shot at the U.S. Supreme Court for overturning Roe v. Wade, telling her fans: “F the Supreme Court honestly. We’re in a weird time but we’ve got each other… There is a light. I promise.”
